QUOTES
Glory is fleeting, but obscurity is forever.
- Napoleon Bonaparte
A good thing to remember. And a better thing to do. Is to work withthe construction gang. And not the wrecking crew.
A sense of humor reduces people and problems to their proper dimensions
When elephants fight it is the grass that suffers.
-African proverb
Yesterday is experince, tomorrow is hope, today is getting from one to the other.
I am nothing special; of this I am sure. I am a common woman
with common thoughts and I've led a common life. There are no
monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten,
but I've loved another with all my heart and soul, and to me,
this has always been enough.
STRESS HELP
Relieve Stress--In Public
Stuck in a long line at the airport? Feeling stressed at
the office holiday party? Trapped in a traffic jam? To find
relief from these stresses, follow these simple isometric
relaxation techniques to help you reduce your stress in
public:
As you do these exercises, remind yourself to relax.
Sitting in public - Clench your fist in your lap and lock
your fingers together and tense. Release and breathe.
Repeat.
Standing in public- Tense your legs by straightening your
knees. Relax and breathe. Repeat.
Standing in public- With your arms at your side, stretch
and tighten your arm muscles.
Standing in public- Lock your fingers behind you neck and
gently push forward as you gently force your neck back into
your fingers.
Sitting in your car- Clench the steering wheel as tight
as you can (when car is at a stop). Release and inhale.
Repeat.
Jet Lag Stress
I first discovered Stash teas several years ago on a trip to Anaheim. I
was there for a computer users group symposium, which generally for me
meant several days immersion in shop talk with my colleagues from all
over. This was NOT the time for jet lag; I needed (and wanted) to be
awake and alert for 18 hours a day to take advantage of this gathering.
Unfortunately, the cross-country flight left me with vicious headaches
and generally feeling lousy. The hotel provided coffee, tea, and juice
at our break times, and fortunately for me, the teas were Stash. The
Stash chamomile is the best I have ever found for jet lag, overwork, and
aggravation. I recommend it to all my friends & co-workers as a gentle
antidote to unhappy heads & stomachs.
DRINKING A GLASS OF WATER EVERY HOUR IS SAID TO RELIEVE JET LAG.
SHINING A REGULAR FLASHLIGHT BEHIND YOUR KNEES BEFORE AND DURING FLIGHT
IS SAID TO RELIEVE JET LAG.
STAYING ON THE SAME EATING SCHEDULE AS YOU ARE ON WILL ALSO PREVENT JET LAG.
