Weak stomach muscles cause back problems!


A sore back can be caused by many things...I have made a list of things to check and things to try to help you with your back problems.

You can usually tell if a person has back problems by the way they walk...slumped shoulders...odd walking patterns...pausing before stepping up...are some of them.

1. Shoes....have good support shoes...they now have a plastic insert for your shoes that is said to help straighten your spine.

2. Mattress....Make sure your mattress is firm and is supporting you...if it starts to sag...get rid of it before your back becomes worse.

3. If you spend a lot of time sitting at your desk..make sure you have the "right" chair. Adjust the height so the your knees are not constricted in any way. A good chair is a small investment for back health.

4. Constipation is the cause of many back problems...make sure you keep regular with flax oil...bran...prunes...fresh fruit...etc;

Too much raw vegetable can cause upper GI or colon

problems. Lightly steam vegetables for best results. Be

careful of raw celery and carrots if you have bowel movement

problems.

Take Panthothenic acid--it can stimulate peristalsis.

5. WALK!! You should take 10,000 steps a day to stay healthy...each time your foot hits the surface it is a little mini pump helping your heart. This exercise will also prevent constipation.

6. Never stand on one foot for any extended period.

7. The ab energizer is said to build muscles...It is a wonderful back massager. If you start out at level 2 and work your way up to ten...I am sure you will find the stimulation comforting.

8. When you stretch in bed...point your heels outward...not your toes...this will stretch your spine.

9. Inversion board....this may help your back as the gravity will allow your spine some relief.

10. Never lift improperly or lift things you have no business lifting...hire someone who has the proper equipment to do it.

11. Do not sit against anything cold...you can catch "cold" in your back and it can make you very miserable.

this mixture is another remedy. Boil two cups of

water and add two tablespoons of flaxseed;

boil for fifteen minutes; strain off the flaxseed, leaving a jelly-like substance. Drink a cup of this on an empty stomach,

adding one teaspoon of apple cider vinegar

Take daily until you get regular bowels. Flaxseed is an excellent source of essential fatty acids which are necessary for proper bowel functioning, among other benefits.

Take a barley drink to strengthen the kidneys. To 3 litres of water add a cup of barley, 6 peppercorns, 6 cloves, 40 juniper berries, 6 cinnamon sticks and 6 cardamoms (black for men, white for women). Boil down to 11/2 litres. Drink this preparation each day for 3 days if the pain persists.

Put a ginger compress on the painful area

Drink white willow bark tea.

Upper back pain

Eat onions to strengthen the lungs.

Hang from a cross-bar with everted then inverted hands.

Alternate cold and hot water on the spine for 3 minutes, ending with a cold shower.


REMEDIES

Crush 40 ice cubes. Place directly on the skin in the painful area. Cover with a towel. Repeat twice a day. There are 5 stages: wet, cold, painful, burning, numbness. This treatment takes 20-30 minutes. Remove ice when numbness occurs.

Mix 1 part wintergreen oil, 1 part tea tree oil and 1 part lavender oil. Add 3 parts olive oil. Shake well before applying to the painful area. Rub in gently. This will increase the healing process. Try not to take pain killers; they can cause constipation and harm the digestive system.

Take the following vitamins: DLPA 375, PABA 500, Pantothenic Acid 500, Zinc B13 - 1 tablet of each twice a day after meals.

Have hot baths and cold showers on the spine. Continue for 14 days.


There is also an exercise that is said to work wonders for your back...You stand with feet apart ...about 16 inches...then turn slowly at waist until you can look as far behind you as comfortable....hold for three seconds....do other side...hold for three seconds...do this slowly for about 5 minutes twice a day. It re-trains the brain to use the proper muscles to hold your back into position. Never swing fast as that will undo it

Mineral broth

How to Make Mineral-Rich Vegetable Broth

Take 3 quarts of distilled water and add the peels from 6-8 medium to large whole potatoes, 6-8 stalks of cut celery, and 3 or 4 large leaves from any greens, such as collard, mustard, kale, turnip or a half bunch of parsley. Even carrot or beet tops will do. Whatever is green. You could add kelp if you wanted high concentrates of a wide variety of minerals. Use a stainless steel pot and bring to a light boil with the lid on. Simmer for 30 minutes. Remove from the heat, and after it has cooled a bit, strain and throw out chunks, keeping only the juice. Refrigerate. Drink 2-3 cups/day.
