Chai Tea

This recipe and the "IDEA" for this page. was sent to me by one of our regular Holistic chat members...Modesto49 .....Thanks so much ...Marcy.

This is a CHAI TEA recipe to enjoy as a flavorful tea....This tea is helping me get off of diet pepsi (an impossibility before) I have had only one diet pepsi this weekend. this tea helps keep all of those cravings and habits etc; in check.

Directions.

Put 1/2 teaspoon in a tea holder for the cup, or in the filter of a Mr. Coffee to make a pot, along with any other tea (or tea bag) of your choice (i.e. black tea, green tea, any herbal tea if you prefer no caffeine). I like black tea myself, but have had it in ginger tea and it was good. If you like cream, soy milk is a suggestion.

I notice it curbed my appetite big time.....and my scratchy throat from being around sick people at work last week went away after I got right back on the chai tea.

Buy ground powdered herbs and spices... equal parts from the health food store (not expensive at all..makes a large batch):

Cinnamon,

Green Hull (black walnut),

Cloves,

Ginger,

Cramp Bark,

Fennel Seed,

Hyssop,

Gentian Root,

Thyme.

I purchased 1 oz of each and I've put these in a glass container with a glass lid and mixed them together thoroughly. I've taken the mixture to work and added it to my iced tea at lunch also. I suggest any time you are traveling or have just eaten at a restaurant...finish your evening off with some flavorful chai tea.

Cinnamon contains chemicals called catechins, which have shown to relieve nausea. Has general fungicidal chemicals...known to help athlete's foot, body odor, diabetes, erection problems, fever, and heartburn.

Green Hull has been used to help blance sugar levels and to burn up

excess toxins and fatty materials. Can also help in killing parasites. (also called black walnut).

Cloves have been shown to help increase circulation of the blood and promotes digestion and nutrition. Also can help kill parasites. Rich in vitamins and minerals such as Vitamins A, C & B- complex, Potassium, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Sodium and Calcium.

Ginger has anti-inflammatory properties, it has been used for centuries to help heart disease, migraines, stroke, colds, cough, dizziness, hives, indigestion, kidney stones, liver problems, menstrual cramps, morning sickness, motion sickness, nausea, sore throat, swelling, tendinitis, toothache, ulcers, viral infections and worms.

Cramp Bark Helpful as an antispasmodic.

Fennel Seed-Helps remove waste material from the body and curb appetite. Helps clear parasites from the body. Rich in minerals such as Potassium, Sulfur, and Sodium.

Hyssop contains an essential hormone oil that has been used to build resistance to infectious disease. It has been used for poor digestion, breast and lung problems.

Gentian Root helps stimulate circulation and strengthen the system. It is also helpful for the weakened muscle tone of the digestive organs. Gentian is great in helping rid the body of parasites. Rich in vitamins and minerals Vitamins B-complex & F, Iron, Niacin, Manganese, Sulfur and Zinc.

Thyme is a powerful antiseptic. It has been used to destroy fungal infection and skin parasites. Also stimulates digestion and immunity. It has been known to help kill parasites, especially intestinal worms. Rich in vitamins and minerals such as Vitamin B- complex, C & D, Iodine and Sulfur.

ENJOY and pass along to others!!!

While you are sitting back and enjoying your tea...Read these words from a very busy Mom....who unfortunately is not with us anymore....Kes

"IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER"

by Erma Bombeck

I would have talked less and listened more.

I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was

stained, or the sofa faded.

I would have eaten the popcorn in the 'good' living room and worried

much

less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the

fireplace.

I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about

his

youth.

I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up on a summer

day

because my hair had just been teased and sprayed.

I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it

melted

in storage.

I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not worried about

grass

stains.

I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more

while watching life.

I would have shared more of the responsibility carried by my husband.

I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the

earth

would go into a holding pattern if I weren't there for the day.

I would never have bought anything just because it was practical,

wouldn't show soil, or was guaranteed to last a lifetime.

Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished

every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the

only

chance in life to assist God in a miracle.

When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, "Later.

Now

go get washed up for dinner."

There would have been more "I love you's".. more "I'm sorry's" .....

but

mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute... look

at

it and really see it ... live it...and never give it back.

Stop sweating the small stuff. Don't worry about who doesn't like you,

who has more, or who's doing what.

Instead, let's cherish the relationships we have with those who Do love

us.

Let's think about what God HAS blessed us with. And what we are doing

each day to promote ourselves mentally, physically, emotionally, as well as

spiritually. Life is too short to let it pass you by. We only have one

shot at this and then it's gone.

I hope you all have a blessed day.

Attention!

I have had over ONE MILLION visitors to this, My AOL Site in the last nine years.

The counter kept reverting back to zero, but I kept my own records each week.

I have now attached my two sites together under one counter starting at 2000.

This is March 15, 2007.

I hope I will not have any more trouble with counters. Sincerely, Kesti
