Most of the distress comes from feeling so bloated...and out of sorts.

Rescue Remedy is what I would recommend to settle down.

Your body is holding too much water...Use less salt..

Eat food with lots of potassium...bananas...melons...etc;

Take vitamin C.

Wear loose clothing.

Massage your feet.

If your breasts are sore put raw cabbage leaves over them under your bra.

Smile at yourself in the mirror forty times.

You can fool your body into feeling better.

Make sure you are getting vitamine E..calcium..magnesium iron...and your B complex.


Take an afternoon or afterwork nap.


Have a cup of herbal tea...and read a magazine.


Don't become angry because you have it...it will only make it worse.


If you can cry..it will release a lot of tension.


A nice hot foot bath in comfrey or lavendar will help.


If mounting tension gets to be overwhelming punch your pillow until it passes.

Calcium and PMS

Doctors have given women yet another reason to

get plenty of calcium - it helps relieve the symptoms of premenstrual

syndrome, or PMS. A report published Wednesday in the American

Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology says women who take calcium

supplements report a 50% decrease in their symptoms. Researchers

surveyed 720 women between the ages of 18 and 45. They picked out 466

who said they had moderate to severe premenstrual symptoms on

regular basis. Half were given 1,200 milligrams of calcium per day

and half were given a dummy pill. Three months later, women who took

the calcium supplements reported a 48% drop in overall PMS symptoms.

(Don't take Tums or other forms of calcium carbonate, as we can't

metabolize it; go for a good chelated brand with magnesium.)

HOW TO DETECT A 2-WAY MIRROR

The next time you are in a changing room, rest room or a motel do this test

to the mirror. This was passed on by a policewoman who travels all over the

states and gives seminars to women on techniques for personal safety.

When we visit toilets, bathrooms, hotel rooms, changing rooms, etc., how

many of you know for sure that the seemingly ordinary mirror hanging on

the wall is a real mirror, or instead a 2-way mirror (i.e., they can see

you, but you can't see them)? There have been many cases of people

installing 2-way mirrors in female changing rooms. It is very difficult to

positively identify the surface by just looking at it. So, how do we

determine with any amount of certainty what type of mirror we are looking at?

Just conduct this simple test: Place the tip of your fingernail against the

reflective surface and if there is a GAP between your fingernail and the

image of the nail, then it is a GENUINE mirror.

However, if your fingernail DIRECTLY TOUCHES the image of your nail, then

BEWARE, FOR IT IS A 2-WAY MIRROR!

So remember, every time you see a mirror, do the fingernail test."

It doesn't cost you anything. It is simple to do, and it might save

you from getting "visually violated."
